Ross Masood Hall Celebrated the 61st Republic Day

Ross Masood Hall celebrated the 61st Republic Day. Mr Tanweer Alam (MBA -F) Conducted programme. The programme was started with the verses of Holy Quran followed by the flag hoisting by Prof. Nawab Ali Khan (provost R. M. hall) and National Anthem.


On this occassion, Prof. Nawab Ali Khan urged the students to realize the importance of National Anthem and democracy. Residential warden, Dr. Ahsan highlighted the role of democarcy in India and role of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan in freedom struggle. He also said that although we got freedom in 1947, India was not a fully democratic state. It was on 26 Jan,1950 when India became a republic country.


Warden D-Block, Dr. Adnan Hafeez congratulated the students and said that inspite of being independent, we are not free because of ill-built system.


Section Officer, Mr Tarique Javed insisted that we should learn a lesson from the sacrifice of our freedom fighter.

Senior Hall, Mr Rubaid Ashfaq made the students aware of the history of constituion, how it was prepared.Senior student, Mr Ibrahim reminded the sacrifice of martyrs in our country.

On this auspicious occassion, a group of R.M. hall members also presented a patriotic song and an Inter Hostel Knockout Cricket Touranament ''Masood Cup-2010'' was also inaugurated.

After the programme, Provost Sb met the senior members and discussed the greivances prevailing in the hall.

Senior resident members viz. Mr Nayyar Azam, Mr Mohammad Asif, Mr Riyazuddin, Mr Samim, Mr Tauseef, Mr Sikandar, Mr Ishrat,Mr Aadil, Mr Khalid, Mr Sadullah.Mr Akhlaq Ahmad, Mr Mohammad Nasir, Mr Gulwez, Mr Yasif, Mr Auf Ahmad etc. graced the occassion by their presence.
