American Federation of Muslims of Indian Origin, USA held
two days 18th International Education Convention on 2nd and 3rd
January, 2010 at Indore (M.P), Staff member of Aligarh Muslim
University, Aligarh and freelance columnist, N.Jamal Ansari presented
a "Paper" in the Convention entitled "What ails our higher education
institutions? " He pointed out that internal politics is one of the
major factor behind downfall of Muslim institutions. He cited example
of AMU which is facing many problems due to internal politics and
called upon the community to isolate such vested interest groups. He
appealed to the Convention to pass a resolution in support of proposed
AMU centre at Bhopal (M.P) so that Madhya Pradesh Government initiate
proceedings of land allotment and the centre may be established to
realise dreams of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. His observations have been
widely hailed by educationists and intellectuals of America and Canada
attending the Convention.
