I am pleased to inform you that registration in the Summer University courses is proceeding at an accelerated rate. In most of the courses, registration is reaching the maximum capacity (40 students) of the Zoology Seminar Room - which is the preferred venue. Registration in individual courses may have to be stopped if the number exceeds this limit significantly.
Kindly note the following changes to the SU 2010 program:
1. The course "Symmetry and development of modern Physics" by Professor Faqir C. Khanna, scheduled for March 8 - 10 has been cancelled. This is because of a special need that Professor Khanna has for his accommodation and none could be found in Aligarh. I am grateful to him that he had agreed to come to Aligarh for the course even though he is not an Aligarh alumnus.
2. The dates for the course "National movement and current historiography" by Professor Irfan Habib, originally scheduled for February 11-13, has been changed to February 22 - 24. This is due to an unfortunate mix-up in
e-mail communication.
3. All other courses are on schedule as announced.
We look forward to a successful program and hope the students will find it to be a rewarding experience. We are indebted to the Vice Chancellor Professor P.K. Abdul Azis and Professor Absar M. Khan for their interest and for making local arrangements.
