Concluding session of the two Subject Refresher Courses at AMU

ALIGARH, November 3: While presenting presidential remarks at the concluding session of the two Subject Refresher Courses organized by UGC Academic Staff College, the distinguished academician and Professor Emeritus, Professor Irfan Habib, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh urged the course participants to be particular about the course contents. He emphasized the impact of education and syllabus in shaping the young minds and cited his own example how he was fed on nationalistic and patriotic course contents at the AMU school in 1940s. He congratulated the participants on completing the Refresher Courses in Women’s Studies and English.

Professor A.R. Kidwai, Director, UGC Academic Staff College, Aligarh Muslim University exhorted the course participants to articulate and transmit the message of co-existence and national integration as embodied in the Aligarh Muslim University. He wished them the very best in their professional career as excellent teachers.

Professor Shireen Moosvi, Director, Centre for Women’s Studies and Dr. Samina Khan, Dept. of English were the Course Coordinators of the two courses respectively. Mrs. Renu Mahajan Gupta, Assam, Dr. Malika Mistry, Maharashtra and Mr. Shariful Islam, Assam expressed their happiness over the course content and the presentation of teachers. More than 85 teachers from various universities and college all over India attended these courses.
