The Exhibition “reflection” is a projection of Bismillah series paintings that beautifully highlights Bismillah in various shapes like the peacock feather, pigeon, mosque, boat, goblet, eye, bird, star, pomegranate, pear etc. The amateur artist Afzal Ahmad said that it was an effort to bring the dying art of calligraphy to fore and that he would try to highlight the verses of holy Quran that promote education.
AMU Registrar, Prof. V. K. Abdul Jaleel in his inaugural address said that it was a great effort to highlight the Bismillah through paintings and Afzal Ahmad has proved his skills by rendering such an enticing work. Prof. Jaleel said that the teachers of this University are great source of enlightenment for the students. He also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Shakeel Samdani, Coordinator, General Education Centre in providing students with continuous opportunities to develop their skills, thus bringing laurels to the University.
Earlier, Dr. Samdani in his welcome address said that Afzal Ahmad has presented the Bismillah in a new style and deserves due appreciation. He said that the University is emanating a very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere that has helped create a very productive environment in the University. All this could be possible because of the extra ordinary efforts made by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis, Registrar, Prof. V. K. Abdul Jaleel and other senior officials of the University.
The programme was conducted by Mr. Mansoor Ilahi, Student Convener, Club for Short Evening Courses. A large number of students and teachers of the University including Prof. Mohammad Aslam, Dr. Mujib Ansari, Dr. Kaleemullah, Dr. Liaquat Ali Khan Rao, Prof. Abdul Aleem, Dr. Muhibbul Haque, Dr. Najmuddin Ansari were present in the function. The exhibition is scheduled till September 30 up to 4:00 p.m.
