ALIGARH, May 10: AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof. P.K. Abdul Azis has ordered to place 38 students under suspension from the rolls of the university with immediate effect pending enquiry. He further ordered to place university campus and its maintained institutions out of bond for them. He said that those who are not on the rolls of the University but were involved in the incidence of group clash and firing in the University premises and outside causing the closure of the University sine-die on April 30, are to be subjected to appropriate legal action as per the law of the land.
The disciplinary action has been taken in view of the facts and circumstances prima facie established. These thirty-eight students have reportedly committed acts of misconduct and indiscipline as provided under AMU Students’ Conduct and Discipline Rules 1985.
