
ALIGARH June 9: Prof. Mohammad Zahid of Department of Urdu, Aligarh Muslim University has been invited to present research paper in two-day international conference on Urdu literature in new localities to be held in London University on June 18-19, 2010. The conference is being organized by the Urdu Society, School of Oriental and African Studies.
Prof. Zahid will present his research paper “Attraction of Motherland and Pains of Immigration: Urdu Creative Literature in New Localities”. Educationists from all over the world are expected to participate in the conference.
Prof. Zahid had represented AMU at an International Conference also held in London University in 2006. He is a widely travelling person and has visited Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and Mauritius to participate in international conferences.
Prof. Zahid has also served the University in administrative capacities besides his academic responsibilities. He has held several important administrative offices in the University. He has been nominated member of Executive Council and Court of Agra University twice by the Governor.
